TOM BOATRIGHT on ART and HUMAN EVOLUTION

The significance of art

The value of the arts to our culture and the evolution of our humanity cannot be measured. Our imagination and innovation define us.

"The aim of art is to represent not the outward appearance of things, but the inward significance."

Aristotle

TOM BOATRIGHT on ACTIVE IMAGINATION

Art is dynamic energy

Art is a vehicle of the subconscious. The appreciation of art is not rational, but rather experiential. The creation of art is a similar process.

We can assess the color palette, symmetry and composition, but art is more than a superficial aesthetic; art is a beautiful invitation to the imagination.

“Art is not a thing, it is a way.”

Elbert Hubbard

Dr.Honor Ame Wamsley/Collector

"Art is more than a financial investment, it is a belief in the artist. Tom's inherent ability to compose an image; his use of color, contrast and space is exceptional. I purchased several of his paintings - a diverse collection."
