Using his background in technology, Tom creates artisan paints for each series. He adds metals and luminescence to raw oils and resins to capture and refract light creating vivid colors and luxurious metals. Tom uses a palette knife, trowel, or brush to apply thick paint and sprays and pours fluid paint. His technique is emergent.
The intention of the painting is written beneath the base colors. The composition is sketched and painted into the existing layers. As Tom paints, he embraces the energy that moves in him, a raw and refined collaboration. The paintings are aesthetically beautiful, but the power is in the energetic resonance; they elevate a space.

Tom paints as many commissions as straight sales and has a very high success rate creative methodology, painting multiple paintings for each commission. He is passionate about his commission process and delivering art that aligns with his clients.
He paints en plein air outside his studio at the ponds of his beautiful nature preserve, where he lives with his wife, Anna, and their family. Immersed in nature, he paints the energy of light and love. His clients are invited to visit his studio and gallery on their property in the Pacific Northwest.
